GeoOptics was founded by working scientists to establish a new model of community-based space development for the public good that could change the way the world collects and disseminates Earth observational data.
This approach can lower the cost of acquiring data essential to understanding our planet, expand the possibilities for obtaining new types of data from space, and place critical information swiftly and affordably into the hands of those who can put it to use.
The CICERO Project will inaugurate this model with two new techniques for atmospheric and surface remote sensing known as Global Positioning System Radio Occultation (GPS-RO) and GPS Surface Reflection (GPS-SR).
