GeoOptics partner Broad Reach Engineering, which built the Integrated GPS Occultation Receiver (IGOR) flying on COSMIC (derived from JPL's pioneering Black Jack occultation receiver), is planning an advanced version, called Pyxis-RO, that will track the European Galileo satellites as well as GPS. Future extension to the Russian Glonass system is being studied. CICERO will fly Pyxis-RO on its first launch. With full GPS and Galileo constellations in place, CICERO-I will deliver nearly 20,000 occultation profiles per day. With Glonass added to the mix, a 100-satellite CICERO-II will deliver more than 120,000 profiles per day.
